Kazakhstan wants to host World Petroleum Congress in 2017

Supporting the candidature of the Republic for the meeting of the World Petroleum Congress in 2017 has become one of the important topics during numerous bilateral meetings held by the Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrisov as part of the 68th UN General Assembly in New York.

E.Idrisov noted that the holding of the Congress in Kazakhstan would be a logical addition of another important large-scale event which is international exhibition EXPO-2017, the theme of which is "the energy of the future", according to a released Saturday press release of the Foreign Ministry.
