This week, in Nur-Sultan a meeting was held with participation of the representatives of the SECCA project: Mr. Paata Janelidze, Team leader and Mr. Senad Mrkaljevic, Key Expert in Energy Financing, and representatives of the Electric Power and Energy Saving Development Institute (EEDI): Deputy Chairman of the Board Serik Turchekenov, Director of the Center for International Cooperation Almira Safiullina. The parties expressed mutual interest, in- and discussed opportunities for cooperation, aimed at the capacity development in Kazakhstan, the energy service market (ESCOs, PPP), raising awareness about improving energy efficiency and energy savings, improving the capacities of relevant specialties in energy efficiency and energy savings, etc. The main target groups of the SECCA project are Governmental and local authorities, public institutions and the population living in the CA Region, including women, youth, people living in poverty, etc. The project is aimed at promoting a sustainable energy mix in Central Asia.
