Round table on the launch of the SECCA project

The launch of the European Union project "EU Support for Sustainable Energy Links in Central Asia" (SECCA) in Samarkand (Uzbekistan) took place
On November 18, 2022, the launch of the SECCA project of the European Union took place, this is a parallel event dedicated to the Conference on Interconnectedness between the EU and Central Asia: The Global Gateway.
The overall objective of the SECCA project is to promote a more sustainable energy balance in the Central Asian region in line with EU best practices. Within the framework of this program, the EU will contribute to further solving the problem of climate change by improving energy efficiency and developing renewable energy sources.
The launch of the project was attended by representatives of Central Asian government agencies responsible for the energy sector, energy efficiency, renewable energy sources and related areas, representatives of EU Missions in Central Asian countries and the Project team. Serik Amangeldievich Turchekenov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, took part in the round table on behalf of JSC "Electric Power and Energy Saving Development Institute".
